For the record I don't support either of the two system controlled American political parties (Republican/Democrat) and if you know me at all you are probably already aware of this. However, I am far more worried about what we face with this democrat president simply because of the amount of deception in regards to his policies and political ambitions.

I think it's clear that this "progressive" president is definitely looking for CHANGE, but not the kind of change I'd like to see. Change like... ending the Federal Reserve. Change like... restoring the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights. Change like... real liberty.

So, I recently left my job at Lionsgate and started a new position working with the band 30 Seconds to Mars on their internet marketing campaign / exclusive fan club called "The Hive!"

We are just in the beginning stages of setting up a new site (http://thisisthehive.net) and looking for an office in Hollywood to be an HQ for The Hive and a sort of club house for it's exclusive members.

I'm really excited to be doing something creative and I think that in the next couple months things could really get interesting.

This morning we had our company-wide annual meeting. If you aren't already aware, I currently work as an Assistant at Lionsgate Entertainment in Santa Monica, CA. I made sure to arrive good and early so as not to draw attention as the guy arriving late. While I didn't intend to have a front row seat, when no one else was sitting in the front, I figured what better place to sit. It's not like going to the movies, where you want to sort of sit towards the middle. It's not really like school, where you want to sit in the back so the teacher can't see you. At work, you are hoping to be seen. While I know I'm not really on the radar of those speaking (CEO, President, etc.), I wouldn't mind them remembering my face when I am.

The overall sentiment during the meeting was extremely positive. The company has grown immensely in the first year I've been here, and has grown even more substantially since Jon Feltheimer became the CEO of the company in 2000. I can say with absolutely honesty that this company is great to work for. While the pay is still a little less than some of our competitors, the benefits are incredible, and the potential for the future is through the roof.

Lions Gate Makes New Charge

If you want to invest in the movie business, never mind the studios behind Spiderman, Shrek and Pirates of the Caribbean. Look to the little lion instead.

Wall Street has been mesmerized by the record-breaking summer blockbuster season powered by big-budget hits from the media titans like Disney (DIS - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr - Rating), Viacom (VIA - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr - Rating) and News Corp. (NWS - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr - Rating).

When it comes to their stock prices, however, the success of these franchise favorites too often gets buried within the consolidated results of sprawling conglomerates coping with a host of problems in other businesses.

That hasn't been an issue at Lions Gate Entertainment (LGF - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr - Rating), one of the last remaining pure-plays on filmed entertainment. Lions Gate is known for making cheap movies with a lower profile and turning them into highly profitable offerings, but in recent months something went wrong.

While its huge media rivals enjoyed the biggest summer in box office history, Lions Gate suffered a losing streak for which it was punished by investors. Its films -- like Slow Burn, The Condemned, Delta Farce, Bug, Hostel 2 and Bratz -- fizzled. Its stock shed about 15% over the course of the season.

"We didn't put our best foot forward this summer," conceded Michael Burns, vice chairman with Lions Gate, at a recent media conference in New York City.

On a conference call following its first-quarter earnings release in early August, Burns estimated those six films will wind up costing the studio just $15 million. Meanwhile, he predicted the next batch of movies would pick up the slack and give the company its strongest fiscal year ever in 2008, with a domestic box office target of $400 million.

So far so good. The company's offbeat comedy starring Jessica Alba and Dana Cook, Good Luck Chuck, in which Lions Gate only invested $19 million, opened last month and brought in a respectable $14 million at the box office in its debut. That exceeded expectations for Oppenheimer analyst Thomas Eagan, who predicts the company will earn $12 million to $14 million on the title.

Good Luck Chuck followed the strong opening of Lions Gate's Western remake 3:10 to Yuma. That movie led the box office in its early September debut with $14.1 million and continues to be strong. In August, the company released the action movie War, another solid performer.

The top ten advances towards tyranny in the United States during the tenure of the Bush administration, from the Patriot Act to the latest expansion of the illegal eavesdropping surveillance program.

1) The USA Patriot Act

The party line often heard from Neo-Cons in their attempts to defend the Patriot Act either circulate around the contention that the use of the Patriot Act has never been abused or that it isn't being used against American citizens. Here is an archive of articles that disproves both of these fallacies.

The Patriot Act was the boiler plate from which all subsequent attacks on the Constitution were formed.

2) Total Information Awareness

"Every purchase you make with a credit card, every magazine subscription you buy and medical prescription you fill, every Web site you visit and e-mail you send or receive, every academic grade you receive, every bank deposit you make, every trip you book and every event you attend — all these transactions and communications will go into what the Defense Department describes as "a virtual, centralized grand database," infamously wrote New York Times writer William Safire , announcing the birth of Total Information Awareness, a kind of Echelon on steroids introduced a year after 9/11.

TIA was not canned, it was simply removed from the newspaper, renamed and continues to operate under a guise of different programs.

3) USA Patriot Act II

The second Patriot Act was a mirror image of powers that Julius Caesar and Adolf Hitler gave themselves. Whereas the First Patriot Act only gutted the First, Third, Fourth and Fifth Amendments, and seriously damaged the Seventh and the Tenth, the Second Patriot Act reorganized the entire Federal government as well as many areas of state government under the dictatorial control of the Justice Department, the Office of Homeland Security and the FEMA NORTHCOM military command.

The Domestic Security Enhancement Act 2003, also known as the Second Patriot Act is by its very structure the definition of dictatorship.

4) Military Commissions Act

Slamming the final nail in the coffin of everything America used to stand for, the boot-licking U.S. Senate gave President Bush the legal authority to abduct and sexually mutilate American citizens and American children in the name of the war on terror in passing the Military Commissions Act and officially ending Habeas Corpus.

There is nothing in the "detainee" legislation that protects American citizens from being kidnapped by their own government and tortured.

The New York Times stated that the legislation introduced, "A dangerously broad definition of “illegal enemy combatant” in the bill could subject legal residents of the United States, as well as foreign citizens living in their own countries, to summary arrest and indefinite detention with no hope of appeal. The president could give the power to apply this label to anyone he wanted."

Yale Law Professor Bruce Ackerman states in the L.A. Times , "The compromise legislation....authorizes the president to seize American citizens as enemy combatants, even if they have never left the United States. And once thrown into military prison, they cannot expect a trial by their peers or any other of the normal protections of the Bill of Rights."

Similarly, law Professor Marty Lederman explain s: "this [subsection (ii) of the definition of 'unlawful enemy combatant'] means that if the Pentagon says you're an unlawful enemy combatant -- using whatever criteria they wish -- then as far as Congress, and U.S. law, is concerned, you are one, whether or not you have had any connection to 'hostilities' at all."

5) John Warner Defense Authorization Act

The Bush Junta quietly "tooled up" to utilize the U.S. military in engaging American dissidents after the next big crisis, with a frightening and overlooked piece of legislation that was passed alongside the Military Commissions Act, the John Warner Defense Authorization Act , which greased the skids for armed confrontation and abolishes posse comitatus.

6) Illegal Domestic Wiretapping Program

"Months after the Sept. 11 attacks, President Bush secretly authorized the National Security Agency to eavesdrop on Americans and others inside the United States to search for evidence of terrorist activity without the court-approved warrants ordinarily required for domestic spying, according to government officials," reported the New York Times on December 16, 2005

The secret warrantless spying program was a complete violation of both the 4th Amendment and FISA.

7) Expansion of Illegal Domestic Wiretapping Program

Not content with now being lawfully allowed to force ISP's and cell phone companies to turn over data about customers without a warrant, the Bush administration is pushing for even more authority to spy on American citizens, and has already been handed a 6 month window within which to impose any surveillance policy it likes, and for that program to remain legal in perpetuity.

The administration has a 6 month window in which to impose any surveillance program it chooses and that program will go unchallenged and remain legally binding in perpetuity - it cannot be revoked. Under the definitions of the legislation, Bush has been granted absolute dictator status for a minimum of 6 months.

If he so chooses, and so long as it's implemented within the next half year, Bush could build a database of every website visited by every American - and the policy would be immune from Congressional challenge even after the "surveillance gap" legislation reaches its sunset

8) Martial Law Presidential Decision Directive 51

New legislation signed on May 9, 2007, declares that in the event of a "catastrophic event", the President can take total control over the government and the country, bypassing all other levels of government at the state, federal, local, territorial and tribal levels, and thus ensuring total unprecedented dictatorial power .

The National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive , which also places the Secretary of Homeland Security in charge of domestic "security", was signed earlier this month without the approval or oversight of Congress and seemingly supercedes the National Emergency Act which allows the president to declare a national emergency but also requires that Congress have the authority to "modify, rescind, or render dormant" such emergency authority if it believes the president has acted inappropriately.

9) Destruction of the Dollar

Former World Bank Vice President, Chief Economist and Nobel Prize winner Joseph Stiglitz has predicted a global economic crash within 24 months - unless the current downturn is successfully managed. Asked if the situation was being properly handled Stiglitz emphatically responded "no,".

Stiglitz caused controversy in October 2001 when he exposed rampant corruption within the IMF and blew the whistle on their nefarious methods of inducing countries to fall under their debt before stripping them of sovereignty and hollowing out their economies. Stiglitz agreed that the process of hijacking and looting key infrastructure on the part of the IMF and World Bank, as an offshoot of predatory globalization, had now moved from the third world to Europe, the United States and Canada.

10) Amnesty & The North American Union

The open plan to merge the US with Mexico and Canada and create a Pan American Union has long been a Globalist brainchild but its very real and prescient implementation on behalf of the Council on Foreign Relations has finally been reported on by mainstream news outlets.

The framework on which the American Union is being pegged is the NAFTA Super Highway, a four football-fields-wide leviathan that stretches from southern Mexico through the US up to Montreal Canada .Coupled with Bush's blanket amnesty program , the Pan American Union is the final jigsaw piece for the total dismantling of America as we know it.

DAFT PUNK TOUCHED MY ROBOT SOUL

Last night I saw one of my all-time favorite music groups, DAFT PUNK, at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. It was the most disgustingly awesome thing I have ever seen. The attendance had to be somewhere around 15,000 people. Just incredible. Here is a review in the LAist with which I couldn't agree more. Here is an excerpt:

Unlike so many other electronic artists who basically mix their album tracks together like a DJ, Daft Punk completely de-constructs the tracks from their three studio albums, creating a brand new soundscape that builds up huge climaxes using portions of their songs which tease the crowd just long enough before dropping into full blown dance floor burners. This allows them to cover a lot of ground, using elements of dozens of songs without ever playing any album track in its original form. The ecstatic crowd of around 15,000 people were all dancing, and most were literally jumping up and down at various times throughout the show.

There's an old saying that goes "The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist." I'm pretty sure I first heard it used in the cult classic Kevin Spacey flick The Usual Suspects. It's hard to argue with this saying. It gets it's point across. However, if I was so inclined to disagree, and maybe I just am, I'd have to say the greatest trick the Devil ever played was Television and the false realities it provides the subconscious. The masses are suggestively induced into making certain perceptions about what is "normal" and in my opinion not for the better.

Yes, it is ridiculous. It's ridiculous how much of our current "real" reality, our real existence, is subject to the plays and theatrics presented to us through a funnel that is made up of various media including radio, newspaper, but most importantly television, all owned by a few companies. Our understanding of what our society is comes from this little box in every home. It is our connection to the collective. Unfortunately this half century old technology has become an instrument of brainwashing, controlled by few and watched by many. Ideologies, opinions, emotions, biases, and notions of reality are fed to the hoards in a constant bombardment of what is and what isn't, of what's normal and what's not, of what's important and what is trivial, what is wrong and what is right.

Sure, it's obvious the shows we watch aren't real. YES, we know the news is looking for ratings just like everyone else. IF IT BLEEDS IT LEADS! Right? (Actually, I think the new saying is "if it's a bubblegum pop celeb it leads.") But this isn't the only factor. Your consent is much more the detriment. You can expect the toob to be littered with fiction and fairy tales, but if you do nothing to actively consider the suggestions, if you do nothing to counter the effects, if you willfully consent to the suggestion the television entrances you. You become an open slate ready to be shaped and fitted. Knowing that cigarettes can kill them doesn't stop smokers from smoking. They know. It's a choice.

Nearly everyone in my generation is brainwashed. I am brainwashed. I've watched television my whole life. Some are worse than others. My parents generation was also brainwashed, but the technology and the programming is only getting bigger and better.

We do have one saving grace though, the one vehicle of mass communication that can prevail through the fog of suggestion. We have a place that you can roam free, say as you wish and do as you please (almost). The internet. Here you are definitely threatened by suggestion, but you are an active participant and you can dissent, you can say otherwise. You are no longer the passive servant of suggestion. In this medium you can be as powerful as your own ideas. Here you can enter a marketplace of opinion and that's good for everyone. Let's not let them take that from us. Fight internet regulation.

A few weeks ago, I went into a Barnes & Noble looking for Barrie Zwicker's latest book, "Towers of Deception: The Media Cover-up of 9/11."

Before I got to the counter to ask if they had it in stock, I saw several copies of Popular Mechanics' new John McCain endorsed book called, "Debunking 9/11 Myths: Why Conspiracy Theories Can't Stand Up to the Facts." They had them prominently displayed so everyone could see them.

Holding back an "upchuck", I walked up to the counter, and asked the girl if they had any of Barrie's book in stock. As it turned out, they didn't. They were nice enough to order me a copy.

While I was there, I do what I always do in a book store. I looked for books by authors within the 9/11 Truth Movement. I was able to find one copy of Michael Ruppert's book, but nothing else.

Admittedly, I have never read Popular Mechanics' book. Wait a second. What's Jon pulling? How can he debunk a book without even reading it?

Here's how you do it.

If you're a frequent visitor to this site, you will know that there are several people citing Popular Mechanics's book as if it was the "holy grail" for 9/11 answers.

In Reprehensor's thread entitled, "Norman Mineta’s Testimony Proves 9/11 Was an Inside Job", I found 3 instances from just one person. Ronald "Pomeroo" Wieck.

Reference #1: "The information on this subject is abundant; 911myths has an entire section and the Popular Mechanics book devotes a whole chapter."

Reference #2: "The basic knowledge about the FAA and NORAD is available in the Popular Mechanics book."

Reference #3: "why not respond to the very specific and detailed chapter in the Popular Mechanics book that deals with the stand down canard?"

It occurred to me after reading his responses that it wasn't Popular Mechanics that the family members lobbied to investigate the attacks of 9/11. It wasn't Popular Mechanics that turned away whistleblowers with pertinent information regarding the attacks of 9/11. It wasn't Popular Mechanics that was mandated to give a "full and complete accounting" of the attacks of 9/11. It wasn't Popular Mechanics that was recently called "Derelict in its' duties."

It was the 9/11 Commission that the families called "derelict in its duties."

What does it say that people like "pomeroo" need to refer to a book other than the 9/11 Commission's report to "debunk" the 9/11 Truth Movement?

It says that the final report released by the 9/11 Commission isn't worth the paper it was written on.

Donna Marsh O'Connor, a brave 9/11 family member, said at the National Press Club in Washington D.C., on the 5th Anniversary of the attacks:

This Government has made me a victim of Conspiracy Theories, because they haven't answered fully, or allowed anyone to ask the true questions of September 11th, and that's what I'm asking from you today. You'd be forgiven for thinking that it was some new restriction on free speech in Communist China. But it isn't. The U.S. Government wants to force bloggers and online grassroots activists to register and regularly report their activities to Congress in the latest astounding attack on the internet and the First Amendment.

Richard A. Viguerie, Chairman of GrassrootsFreedom.com, a website dedicated to fighting efforts to silence grassroots movements, states:

"Section 220 of S. 1, the lobbying reform bill currently before the Senate, would require grassroots causes, even bloggers, who communicate to 500 or more members of the public on policy matters, to register and report quarterly to Congress the same as the big K Street lobbyists. Section 220 would amend existing lobbying reporting law by creating the most expansive intrusion on First Amendment rights ever. For the first time in history, critics of Congress will need to register and report with Congress itself."

In other words Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats may redefine the meaning of lobbying in order that political communications to and even between citizens falls under the same legislation. Under current law any 'lobbyist" who 'knowingly and willingly fails to file or report." quarterly to the government faces criminal charges including a possible jail term of up to one year. The amendment is currently on hold.

This latest attack on bloggers comes hot on the heels of Republican Senator John McCain's proposal to introduce legislation that would fine blogs up to $300,000 for offensive statements, photos and videos posted by visitors on comment boards.

McCain's proposal is presented under the banner of saving children from sexual predators and encourages informants to shop website owners to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, who then pass the information on to the relevant police authorities.

Despite a total lack of any evidence that children are being victimized en mass by bloggers or people who leave comments on blog sites, it seems likely that the proposal will become legislation in some form. It is well known that McCain has a distaste for his blogosphere critics, causing a definite conflict of interest where any proposal to restrict blogs on his part is concerned.

In recent months, a chorus of propaganda intended to demonize the Internet and further lead it down a path of strict control has spewed forth from numerous establishment organs: During an appearance with his wife Barbara on Fox News last November, George Bush senior slammed Internet bloggers for creating an "adversarial and ugly climate."

- The White House's own recently de-classified strategy for "winning the war on terror" targets Internet conspiracy theories as a recruiting ground for terrorists and threatens to "diminish" their influence.

- The Pentagon recently announced its effort to infiltrate the Internet and propagandize for the war on terror.

- In a speech last month, Homeland Security director Michael Chertoff identified the web as a "terror training camp," through which "disaffected people living in the United States" are developing "radical ideologies and potentially violent skills." Chertoff pledged to dispatch Homeland Security agents to local police departments in order to aid in the apprehension of domestic terrorists who use the Internet as a political tool.

- A landmark legal case on behalf of the Recording Industry Association of America and other global trade organizations seeks to criminalize all Internet file sharing of any kind as copyright infringement, effectively shutting down the world wide web - and their argument is supported by the U.S. government.

- A landmark legal ruling in Sydney goes further than ever before in setting the trap door for the destruction of the Internet as we know it and the end of alternative news websites and blogs by creating the precedent that simply linking to other websites is breach of copyright and piracy.

- The European Union, led by former Stalinist and potential future British Prime Minister John Reid, has also vowed to shut down "terrorists" who use the Internet to spread propaganda.

- The EU also recently proposed legislation that would prevent users from uploading any form of video without a license.

- We have also previously exposed how moves are afoot to clamp down on internet neutrality and even to designate a highly restricted new form of the internet known as Internet 2. Make no mistake, the internet, one of the greatest outposts of free speech ever created is under constant attack by powerful people who cannot operate within a society where information flows freely and unhindered. All these moves mimic stories we hear every week out of State Controlled Communist China, where the internet is strictly regulated and virtually exists as its own entity away from the rest of the web.

The phrases "Chinese government" and "Mao Zedong" have even been censored on China's official Web sites because they are "Sensitive phrases". Are we to allow our supposedly Democratic governments to implement the same type of restrictive policies here? Under section 220 of the lobbying reform bill, Infowars.net could be required to seek a license in order to bring this information to you. IF we were granted a license we would then have to report our activities to the government four times per year in order to bring you this information. Does that sound more like free speech or more like totalitarianism?

Israel plans nuclear strike on Iran

ISRAEL has drawn up secret plans to destroy Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities with tactical nuclear weapons.

Two Israeli air force squadrons are training to blow up an Iranian facility using low-yield nuclear “bunker-busters”, according to several Israeli military sources.

The attack would be the first with nuclear weapons since 1945, when the United States dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Israeli weapons would each have a force equivalent to one-fifteenth of the Hiroshima bomb.

Under the plans, conventional laser-guided bombs would open “tunnels” into the targets. “Mini-nukes” would then immediately be fired into a plant at Natanz, exploding deep underground to reduce the risk of radioactive fallout.

“As soon as the green light is given, it will be one mission, one strike and the Iranian nuclear project will be demolished,” said one of the sources.

The plans, disclosed to The Sunday Times last week, have been prompted in part by the Israeli intelligence service Mossad’s assessment that Iran is on the verge of producing enough enriched uranium to make nuclear weapons within two years.

Israeli military commanders believe conventional strikes may no longer be enough to annihilate increasingly well-defended enrichment facilities. Several have been built beneath at least 70ft of concrete and rock. However, the nuclear-tipped bunker-busters would be used only if a conventional attack was ruled out and if the United States declined to intervene, senior sources said.

Israeli and American officials have met several times to consider military action. Military analysts said the disclosure of the plans could be intended to put pressure on Tehran to halt enrichment, cajole America into action or soften up world opinion in advance of an Israeli attack.

Some analysts warned that Iranian retaliation for such a strike could range from disruption of oil supplies to the West to terrorist attacks against Jewish targets around the world.

Israel has identified three prime targets south of Tehran which are believed to be involved in Iran’s nuclear programme:

- Natanz, where thousands of centrifuges are being installed for uranium enrichment

- A uranium conversion facility near Isfahan where, according to a statement by an Iranian vice-president last week, 250 tons of gas for the enrichment process have been stored in tunnels

- A heavy water reactor at Arak, which may in future produce enough plutonium for a bomb

Israeli officials believe that destroying all three sites would delay Iran’s nuclear programme indefinitely and prevent them from having to live in fear of a “second Holocaust”.

The Israeli government has warned repeatedly that it will never allow nuclear weapons to be made in Iran, whose president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has declared that “Israel must be wiped off the map”.

Robert Gates, the new US defence secretary, has described military action against Iran as a “last resort”, leading Israeli officials to conclude that it will be left to them to strike.
Israeli pilots have flown to Gibraltar in recent weeks to train for the 2,000-mile round trip to the Iranian targets. Three possible routes have been mapped out, including one over Turkey.

Air force squadrons based at Hatzerim in the Negev desert and Tel Nof, south of Tel Aviv, have trained to use Israel’s tactical nuclear weapons on the mission. The preparations have been overseen by Major General Eliezer Shkedi, commander of the Israeli air force.

Sources close to the Pentagon said the United States was highly unlikely to give approval for tactical nuclear weapons to be used. One source said Israel would have to seek approval “after the event”, as it did when it crippled Iraq’s nuclear reactor at Osirak with airstrikes in 1981.

Scientists have calculated that although contamination from the bunker-busters could be limited, tons of radioactive uranium compounds would be released.

The Israelis believe that Iran’s retaliation would be constrained by fear of a second strike if it were to launch its Shehab-3 ballistic missiles at Israel.

However, American experts warned of repercussions, including widespread protests that could destabilise parts of the Islamic world friendly to the West.

Colonel Sam Gardiner, a Pentagon adviser, said Iran could try to close the Strait of Hormuz, the route for 20% of the world’s oil.

Some sources in Washington said they doubted if Israel would have the nerve to attack Iran. However, Dr Ephraim Sneh, the deputy Israeli defence minister, said last month: “The time is approaching when Israel and the international community will have to decide whether to take military action against Iran.”

I'm sure some of those who read this blog are still having a hard time coming to terms with the idea that the U.S. government was complicit in the attacks of September 11th, 2001. This isn't surprising. It took nearly 3 years of research for me to be completely convinced. When you are presented with an idea so horrendous, so despicable, so...unbelievable...it becomes just that, hard to believe. This post is dedicated to exposing something even more horrible than any government sponsored terrorist attack could ever be.

What would you say if I told you that corrupt elements of the US government and the CIA are involved in organizing the largest child sex ring in the world? What if I told you they are responsible for kidnapping thousands of US children each year? You'd be shocked. You'd probably be in disbelief. Well, so was I until I did some digging.

Please, if you only research one thing, this should be it.

First of all, what do you think is the answer to the headline for this post? To me, pure evil would be human beings that are supposed to protect the innocent, people who are supposed to save the weak, leaders who are supposed to defend a nation taking advantage of the power they wield and doing the most heinous acts imaginable. Why? Because it's the only way they can get their thrills and because they know that no one will believe it.

I want to leave my analysis out of it. I'm not trying to promote an ideology. I belong to no political party and I care only about revealing the truth. It should be expected that the most disgusting and evil things in the world are hidden. I will simply show you the door, it is your choice to walk through it. At first, it seems an open-and-shut case. On June 5 1968, Robert Kennedy wins the California Democratic primary and is set to challenge Richard Nixon for the White House. After midnight, he finishes his victory speech at the Ambassador hotel in Los Angeles and is shaking hands with kitchen staff in a crowded pantry when 24-year-old Palestinian Sirhan Sirhan steps down from a tray-stacker with a "sick, villainous smile" on his face and starts firing at Kennedy with an eight-shot revolver.

As Kennedy lies dying on the pantry floor, Sirhan is arrested as the lone assassin. He carries the motive in his shirt-pocket (a clipping about Kennedy's plans to sell bombers to Israel) and notebooks at his house seem to incriminate him. But the autopsy report suggests Sirhan could not have fired the shots that killed Kennedy. Witnesses place Sirhan's gun several feet in front of Kennedy, but the fatal bullet is fired from one inch behind. And more bullet-holes are found in the pantry than Sirhan's gun can hold, suggesting a second gunman is involved. Sirhan's notebooks show a bizarre series of "automatic writing" - "RFK must die RFK must be killed - Robert F Kennedy must be assassinated before 5 June 68" - and even under hypnosis, he has never been able to remember shooting Kennedy. He recalls "being led into a dark place by a girl who wanted coffee", then being choked by an angry mob. Defence psychiatrists conclude he was in a trance at the time of the shooting and leading psychiatrists suggest he may have be a hypnotically programmed assassin. Three years ago, I started writing a screenplay about the assassination of Robert Kennedy, caught up in a strange tale of second guns and "Manchurian candidates" (as the movie termed brainwashed assassins). As I researched the case, I uncovered new video and photographic evidence suggesting that three senior CIA operatives were behind the killing. I did not buy the official ending that Sirhan acted alone, and started dipping into the nether-world of "assassination research", crossing paths with David Sanchez Morales, a fearsome Yaqui Indian.

Morales was a legendary figure in CIA covert operations. According to close associate Tom Clines, if you saw Morales walking down the street in a Latin American capital, you knew a coup was about to happen. When the subject of the Kennedys came up in a late-night session with friends in 1973, Morales launched into a tirade that finished: "I was in Dallas when we got the son of a bitch and I was in Los Angeles when we got the little bastard." From this line grew my odyssey into the spook world of the 60s and the secrets behind the death of Bobby Kennedy.

Working from a Cuban photograph of Morales from 1959, I viewed news coverage of the assassination to see if I could spot the man the Cubans called El Gordo - The Fat One. Fifteen minutes in, there he was, standing at the back of the ballroom, in the moments between the end of Kennedy's speech and the shooting. Thirty minutes later, there he was again, casually floating around the darkened ballroom while an associate with a pencil moustache took notes.

The source of early research on Morales was Bradley Ayers, a retired US army captain who had been seconded to JM-Wave, the CIA's Miami base in 1963, to work closely with chief of operations Morales on training Cuban exiles to run sabotage raids on Castro. I tracked Ayers down to a small town in Wisconsin and emailed him stills of Morales and another guy I found suspicious - a man who is pictured entering the ballroom from the direction of the pantry moments after the shooting, clutching a small container to his body, and being waved towards an exit by a Latin associate.

Ayers' response was instant. He was 95% sure that the first figure was Morales and equally sure that the other man was Gordon Campbell, who worked alongside Morales at JM-Wave in 1963 and was Ayers' case officer shortly before the JFK assassination.
I put my script aside and flew to the US to interview key witnesses for a documentary on the unfolding story. In person, Ayers positively identified Morales and Campbell and introduced me to David Rabern, a freelance operative who was part of the Bay of Pigs invasion force in 1961 and was at the Ambassador hotel that night. He did not know Morales and Campbell by name but saw them talking to each other out in the lobby before the shooting and assumed they were Kennedy's security people. He also saw Campbell around police stations three or four times in the year before Robert Kennedy was shot.

This was odd. The CIA had no domestic jurisdiction and Morales was stationed in Laos in 1968. With no secret service protection for presidential candidates in those days, Kennedy was guarded by unarmed Olympic decathlete champion Rafer Johnson and football tackler Rosey Grier - no match for an expert assassination team.

Trawling through microfilm of the police investigation, I found further photographs of Campbell with a third figure, standing centre-stage in the Ambassador hotel hours before the shooting. He looked Greek, and I suspected he might be George Joannides, chief of psychological warfare operations at JM-Wave. Joannides was called out of retirement in 1978 to act as the CIA liaison to the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) investigating the death of John F Kennedy.

Ed Lopez, now a respected lawyer at Cornell University, came into close contact with Joann-des when he was a young law student working for the committee. We visit him and show him the photograph and he is 99% sure it is Joannides. When I tell him where it was taken, he is not surprised: "If these guys decided you were bad, they acted on it.

We move to Washington to meet Wayne Smith, a state department official for 25 years who knew Morales well at the US embassy in Havana in 1959-60. When we show him the video in the ballroom, his response is instant: "That's him, that's Morales." He remembers Morales at a cocktail party in Buenos Aires in 1975, saying Kennedy got what was coming to him. Is there a benign explanation for his presence? For Kennedy's security, maybe? Smith laughs. Morales is the last person you would want to protect Bobby Kennedy, he says. He hated the Kennedys, blaming their lack of air support for the failed Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961.

We meet Clines in a hotel room near CIA headquarters. He does not want to go on camera and brings a friend, which is a little unnerving. Clines remembers "Dave" fondly. The guy in the video looks like Morales but it is not him, he says: "This guy is fatter and Morales walked with more of a slouch and his tie down." To me, the guy in the video does walk with a slouch and his tie is down.

Clines says he knew Joannides and Campbell and it is not them either, but he fondly remembers Ayers bringing snakes into JM-Wave to scare the secretaries and seems disturbed at Smith's identification of Morales. He does not discourage our investigation and suggests others who might be able to help. A seasoned journalist cautions that he would expect Clines "to blow smoke", and yet it seems his honest opinion.

As we leave Los Angeles, I tell the immigration officer that I am doing a story on Bobby Kennedy. She has seen the advertisements for the new Emilio Estevez movie about the assassination, Bobby. "Who do you think did it? I think it was the Mob," she says before I can answer.

"I definitely think it was more than one man," I say, discreetly.
Morales died of a heart attack in 1978, weeks before he was to be called before the HSCA. Joannides died in 1990. Campbell may still be out there somewhere, in his early 80s. Given the positive identifications we have gathered on these three, the CIA and the Los Angeles Police Department need to explain what they were doing there. Lopez believes the CIA should call in and interview everybody who knew them, disclose whether they were on a CIA operation and, if not, why they were there that night.

Today would have been Robert Kennedy's 81st birthday. The world is crying out for a compassionate leader like him. If dark forces were behind his elimination, it needs to be investigated

Cop uses stun gun on student who won't show ID

UCLA Police Taser Student For Not Showing ID

This UCLA student was tasered multiple times by campus police for refusing to show his ID. Students begin to come to the aid of the student, who is clearly being tortured by the police and demand that he stand after having thousands of watts forcefully surged through his body, but they are told to stand back or they will be tased as well.

I hope it doesn't take witnessing a horrible event like this yourself before you realize the tyranny that is enveloping our society.

Regardless of whether or not this student was breaking the law, the force used was life threatening and obviously unnecessary. He was unarmed, non-threatening, and simply non-compliant. Surely not deserving of multiple taser shocks.

Anniversaries cause us to instinctively pause and reflect, just as our leg jolts forward after a well-positioned tap on the knee. In honor of our veterans — to whom we owe a debt we can never repay — the least we can do on this Veteran's Day is look back at the decisions made that sent our troops into battle, and the roles we played in those decisions. Perhaps upon reflection, our reaction may change.

The fifth anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001 served as the reflex hammer touch to the knee of American conscience. As the country attended memorials and revisited painful memories of 9/11, the reflection also opened our collective mind once again to the many unanswered questions, legitimate concerns and conflicting evidence in the official description of those events.
For us at the Daily Tidings the event served to open discussion among us about this complex subject, about the conspiracy theories that abound in Internet chats, blogs and so-called investigative reports and most importantly, the questions regarding the media's role in this ongoing issue.

A month later we have found very little we all agreed on. We especially disagree on the role of the media. Since the Tidings doesn't cover New York City, Washington, D.C. or the federal government, the ambiguity is shaded with absolution.

Nevertheless we are each members of the fourth estate, an essential conglomeration of individuals who adhere to professional guidelines, and who care passionately about this demanding and often thankless opus. With that membership — we can all agree on some level — comes a responsibility to giving the public the accurate information it needs to make informed decisions. Thus, somewhere in all the banter, we stumbled on one thing we at the Tidings' truly can agree on.

Apparently, we are not alone. Based on the results of this hallmark 2006 election, the American people are finally asking for change. They don't like our involvement in Iraq. They voted out many members of the party that put us there. Perhaps they are also ready to question the events and decisions that put us there as well. Perhaps they are ready to ask what really happened on Sept. 11.

We think so. And we call on our colleagues to join us in asking questions.
Every single American daily newspaper must demand of our congressional leaders and those in the executive branch that an independent council be formed to completely and thoroughly investigate the deaths of nearly 3,000 American citizens in the attack of 9/11 — an attack that took place on American soil.

Forget the conspiracy theories for a minute and set aside the political gamesmanship. We are a country that spent five years and $100 million investigating President Clinton. We probed the depths of the Iran-Contra scandal — a debacle that would have never come fully into the public eye had a special investigator not been appointed.

This administration has spent far more energy and time seeking the leak of Valerie Plame's identity and Barry Bonds' use of steroids than it has in fully explaining how three skyscrapers crumbled in an instant and nearly 3,000 people were killed. While an independent investigation may never fully answer every question, it will help to heal the wounds of this nation and widespread distrust of our leaders this attack has caused.

This historic tragedy ranks among the worst days in American history. We owe it to every American — but especially those who do battle on our behalf at the behest of our leaders — to spare no expense and allow no party loyalty to dissuade us. The government works for us. If it failed us, either in malfeasance or incompetence, then we must know that. If our current actions around the world are shaped by misinformation, we must know that too. Finally, if what we now believe to be true is only further proven, we would do well to hear the evidence that confirms it. If the government's version of the events of that day are absolutely true, then scrutiny will amplify that truth and lay to rest the skepticism that remains to this day.

If, however, the questions that remain serve to shed light on new information, that too serves the public. And it is the responsibility of this trusted media industry to dig, probe, investigate and uncover the truth behind government events and decisions that impact the public. On this Veterans Day, we can do no less on behalf of the brave men and women who have been sent to the Middle East based upon rationale that stems directly from the events of 9/11. While we pay homage to all veterans of the Armed Forces today, we are reminded of our duty to watch closely those leaders in the White House and Congress who make the decisions to send our troops to war.

We invite every single American daily newspaper to join us in our demand for an independent council to completely and thoroughly investigate the deaths of nearly 3,000 American citizens in the attacks of 9/11.
America will be better informed, and this is our job.

Sunday Special: Good Cop, Bad Cop

I have decided that my current schedule prevents me from having the time or ambition to update as frequently as I'd like. I've decided to have one dedicated post each week. I'm calling it the Sunday Special. I will update at other times off and on, but you're guaranteed Sunday.

So, another election has come and gone. It looks like we had a HUGE VICTORY, as Americans! HAHA! Yes, our will has been inacted and the people have spoken. Right? I don't think so.

First of all, I didn't vote in this previous election for 2 reasons. One, I am not registered to vote in the state of California and I didn't recieve an absentee ballot. Two, I am simply disgusted with our current electoral system and I have absolutely no confidence in it's ability to acurately represent the people. Our current political system is a joke. Recently, Alex Jones said it best on his daily radio broadcast.

"It's like you tell a child they have the choice to go to bed at either 8pm
or 8:30pm. Of course the child is going to pick 8:30pm. Really, you just wanted to get them to bed by 9pm."

Another good analogy is the idea of Good cop, Bad cop. The practice is simple. When law enforcement wants to get a certain response or retrieve specific information from a suspect they employ a tactic of alternating between a nice guy policeman and a bully policeman. They take turns. First the bully will abuse the suspect and demand that he answer his questions and then the nice guy will come in and try to become friends with the suspect. Both using their own tactics and the comparison of the other as a means to get what they want. In our government, at least in the last few years, you could say the same. Of course it's far more complicated than any single analogy could begin to express, but I think you get the idea.

Now, after the circus election in which they are conditioning us to accept these ridiculous voting machines, we are supposed to believe that the elections are still legitimate with all the possibilities for fraud. Honestly, I believe everything that has happened in the last 6 years shows that our election system is secondary to the will of the elite.

Why should we believe that the democrats coming into office is going to change anything. The current administration has already done so much harm to our rights. They have lied to us about a half trillion dollar war that continues for profit instead of doing what is needed for victory, passed disguting legislation that ruins the fundemental aspects of our republic, and continue to openly insult every fiber of my libery loving american soul.

And what is going to happen now? Will any of the Military Commisions Act be repealed? This legislation allows anyone, including an American citizen in America, to be charged as an Enemy Combatant and held at the will of the president with no right to a trial or representation. This is a serious breech of American Justice.

The democrats who were screaming for impeachment now say that it isn't their desire. Well, they are right about one thing. It wouldn't do any good to impeach George Bush. He's simply a puppet.

There are some serious issues taking place people! Rome wasn't built in one day and the United States of America won't become a tyrannical fear driven dictatorship in one day either.

I recently found this article from the school newspaper of the University I attended, The Daily Texan. I really enjoyed my time at UT and it never ceases to amaze me how much about Austin and UT I really do love. I will return. Austin and the University of Texas made me love Texas. Although many people assume that Texas is backwards, real Texans believe what they say and demand freedom. We could be our own country, we bless the US with our company. Liberty isn't just a true American value, it's a Texan one.

Protests, insults disrupt Kristol 9/11 speech

A speech by William Kristol, former chief of staff for former vice president Dan Quayle and editor of The Weekly Standard magazine, turned hostile Tuesday when students began hurling insults at Kristol, alleging his and the U.S. government's complicity in the Sept. 11 attacks.

"9/11 is your Pearl Harbor," said one student protestor, referring to a pre-Sept. 11 statement released by the Project for a New American Century, a conservative think tank Kristol chairs.

In a Sept. 2000 report titled "Rebuilding America's Defenses, " the group wrote, "Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event - like a new Pearl Harbor."

Some of the student protestors are members of the new UT student organization, Project for the New American Citizen, but the group did not officially organize the protest, said founder Matt Dayton. The nonpartisan, anti-imperialism group encourages people to seek out truthful information regarding the U.S. government's policies and actions, said Dayton, an art studio and radio-television-film junior. The group's name is a counter to Kristol's neoconservative think tank.

Dayton said students from his organization protested Kristol because he refuses to address what was said in the Sept. 2000 report.

"They openly needed a new Pearl Harbor in order to enact their new foreign policy," Dayton said. "It's either use it or lose it with your freedom of speech," he said.

Kristol's speech, which focused on the state of U.S. politics, the condition of the media and the significance of Sept. 11, drew about 200 students, staff and citizens to the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs Tuesday.

Radio-television-film graduate Aaron Dykes, who works for radio host Alex Jones, was escorted from the building by police after repeatedly interrupting Kristol.

"We're trying to expose the truth about 9/11," Dykes said.

Similar but more vehement protests disrupted another conservative speaker, author Ann Coulter, when she spoke on campus in May 2005. Lewd comments and gestures interrupted Coulter's speech, resulting in one student's arrest.Police charged him with disorderly conduct.

"I came here to learn, and I feel it disintegrated," said business graduate student Ted Egner. "It's kind of embarrassing to the school."

Regarding the current political climate, Kristol said the U.S. government is approaching a period of monumental change with the 2008 presidential elections. However, he said he is unsure how power may shift between the political parties.

Kristol also said the media has become more "democratized" than in the past, because citizens now have access to more independent sources of information, such as the Internet, rather than having to rely on mainstream news sources.

Although Kristol said he did not initially believe the Sept. 11 attacks would have a lasting impact on American society, he now recognizes the extent to which the attacks have changed politics and society in general.

"It's an interesting time to be thinking about policy," Kristol said. "The world can be dangerous without American intervention. The risk in the future is we will do too little, not too much."

Though he is known as a neoconservative, Kristol said he doesn't find the term derogatory. He said neoconservatism is useful, because he thinks it corrects some mistakes of classical liberalism and conservatism.

"If it implies hawkish foreign policy, skeptical to government programs, but not hostile towards them, and a moderately conservative attitude to social aspects, it is fine with me," Kristol said. Kristol has worked for several conservative think tanks, including the American Enterprise Institute.

Kristol said speaking in Austin was important to him, because he likes to promote diversity in a campus he described as a liberal "blue dot" in a conservative "red state." However, he said his goal was not to spread the conservative agenda.

"I figured Austin deserved a conservative voice," he said.

The event was cosponsored by the schools of journalism and public affairs. James Steinberg, LBJ School dean, said the schools asked Kristol to speak because he is a prevalent figure in both politics and the media.

"We are friends and have been colleagues for a long time," Steinberg said. "He has had experience in practice and has taught public policy, so he was a particularly good choice."

I have recently become and employee for Lionsgate, a film and television production and distribution company in Santa Monica, CA. I'm very excited about this opportunity to get my foot in the door at an excellent company. I have been hired as an Administrative Assitant for the IT department. Basically my job requires a lot of paper shuffling, but the way I see it, I'm putting in my time now and soon I can work my way in to a position in Development. Only time will tell.

I had a post a few weeks back that had a side note in the end about a rumor of an "event" taking place in October, terrorist or otherwise. Well, with October right around the corner, the information coming from places as high up as the White house is certainly heating up this rumor. Check out this NewsMax article.

Let it be known that the polls clearly show that Democratic candidates get 51% of the vote and Republicans get 42%. Looks like they will need quite a boost to win the mid-term election.

The fact that we can get an article like this is sort of interesting. However, the fact that people deny the abuse of media spin and propoganda is simply amazing.

I love google, but this is completely absurd. Not only have they been kissing the ass of the totalitarian Chinese government for years now, but they are censoring my favorite alternative journalist, Alex Jones.

I used to not really like Weird Al, but over time he is consistently funny, and he maintains a high standard of writing. It is funny and clever.
