Alex Jones on Star Wars

at 12:32 PM

The caller obviously doesn't realize that Star Wars is a metaphor for the systems of tyranny in our own history and present day realities. George Lucas is a great filmmaker, and like Alex Jones says, THX 1138 and Star Wars are excellent examples of his attempts to entertain and inform.

I know there are people reading this blog regularly (interestingly a few who read it nearly daily who I am unaware who they are), and there are even more people that find it randomly surfing the web. While I do appreciate all the input and comments that people have left on here, I really would like to see a larger response. The tracking information shows that I am averaging 10-15 hits a day. While this isn't a lot, it does show me that there are people reading what I'm posting.

PLEASE COMMENT.

While some of the information on this page is silly, much of it is very serious. If you read something that makes you question your beliefs, if you watch a video that angers you, if you agree with me, or if you think I am totally out of line, please tell me. I would like to continue posting information that is informative, pertinent, and entertaing, but most of all, I'd like to know what the average internet user thinks about this information.

Pentagon considers Navy buildup in Gulf

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Defense Department is thinking about a major buildup of U.S. Navy forces in the Gulf as a show of force against Iran, a senior defense official said Tuesday.
Speaking on condition of anonymity because the idea has not been approved, the official said one proposal is to send a second aircraft carrier to the region amid increasing tensions with Iran, blamed for encouraging sectarian violence in neighboring Iran as well as allegedly pursuing a nuclear weapons program.

Pentagon: Militia more dangerous than al Qaeda in Iraq

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Shiite Muslim cleric Muqtada al-Sadr's Mehdi Army has replaced al Qaeda in Iraq as "the most dangerous accelerant" of the sectarian violence plaguing Iraq for nearly a year, according to a Pentagon report.

Al-Sadr is a suspected ally of the Iranian Government.

Iran: Sanctions won't stop nuclear plans

KERMANSHAH, Iran - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday that U.N. sanctions would not stop Iran from pursuing its uranium enrichment program.

The United States and its European allies are seeking sanctions against Iran because of its refusal to stop uranium enrichment, a technology that can be used to produce nuclear fuel for civilian purposes or fuel for a nuclear bomb.

Operation Valiant Sheild

Friday, December 15, 2006 at 5:20 PM
Taken from Wikipedia.com

Valiant Shield was a large war game conducted by the United States military in the Pacific Ocean in June 2006. The exercise began on 19 June 2006 and lasted for five days, concluding on 24 June 2006. According to the Navy, Valiant Shield focused on cooperation between military branches and on the detection, tracking, and engagement of units at sea, in the air, and on land in response to a wide range of missions. The exercise involved 22,000 personnel, 280 aircraft, and thirty ships, including the supercarriers USS Kitty Hawk, USS Abraham Lincoln, and USS Ronald Reagan. It was the largest military exercise to be conducted by the United States in Pacific waters since the Vietnam War, and it was also the first time observers from the People's Republic of China were allowed to view U.S. wargames. The exercise marked the first of what will become biennial exercises involving different branches of the U.S. military.
