For the Record.

Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 11:21 PM
I had a post a few weeks back that had a side note in the end about a rumor of an "event" taking place in October, terrorist or otherwise. Well, with October right around the corner, the information coming from places as high up as the White house is certainly heating up this rumor. Check out this NewsMax article.

Let it be known that the polls clearly show that Democratic candidates get 51% of the vote and Republicans get 42%. Looks like they will need quite a boost to win the mid-term election.

Simply Amazing.

The fact that we can get an article like this is sort of interesting. However, the fact that people deny the abuse of media spin and propoganda is simply amazing.

Google, why?!

Monday, September 25, 2006 at 4:51 PM
I love google, but this is completely absurd. Not only have they been kissing the ass of the totalitarian Chinese government for years now, but they are censoring my favorite alternative journalist, Alex Jones.

Please take a moment to read this article listed on a website affiliated with Jones.

Also, if you haven't yet, take the time to watch the film TerrorStorm.

I used to not really like Weird Al, but over time he is consistently funny, and he maintains a high standard of writing. It is funny and clever.

Oh my god. Literally.

Haha! Worshipping a picture of George Bush?!

Wow, these people have some serious issues.

Let me set the record straight: I am in no way against Christianity, or any religion for that matter. However, this is not Christianity. This is a revolting representation of the corruption of organized religion.

Organizations Corrupt,
Religious Organizations Corrupt Religiously.

Police more of a threat than Terrorists!

Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 10:39 AM
Here is a handy ranking of the various dangers confronting America, based on the number of mortalities in each category throughout the 11-year period spanning 1995 through 2005 (extrapolated from best available data).

This in no way suggests that the Police are a threat to America (although they could be.) In fact they are ranked in the lowest category, along with the "terrorists."

Within the Law?

Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 10:50 PM
It really is amazing how many people are starting to really question just what this administration, just what the elite lords of the western world have in mind. Matt Lauer has always kinda seemed sort of lame to me, but it was very refreshing to see him stand up to President Bush in this clip.

How many times can he say "Within the law?" Who's law? I don't think President Bush has any idea what the laws even are.

He believes his word is law.

Favorite quote from this clip: "If alternative techniques are being used [in secret prisons]. Are you at all concerned, even if you get results, that there is a blurring the lines between ourselves and the people we are trying to protect ourselves against."
- Matt Lauer

Lauer doesn't seem to buy it and I don't buy it either.

You've got to be kidding me!

"If we're not willing to use it here against our fellow citizens, then we should not be willing to use it in a wartime situation."
- Air Force secretary Michael Wynne

My expression: ::total shock:: WTF?!

Since when has any type of military weapon been used AGAINST it's own people in order to insure satisfaction from world reaction?

Five Years Later - Is hindsight 20/20?

Monday, September 11, 2006 at 1:04 PM
Five years of confusion. Why did this happen? Five years of anger. We will never let this happen again! Five years of deception.

"If you're not with us, you're against us."

Five years ago, on September 11, 2001, I was asleep in my dorm room. It was my first true semester in college at the University of Texas at Austin. My mom called me, woke me up, and the conversation went like this:

Mom: "Bryan! Do you know what's going on in the world?"
Me: "No. I'm sleeping. What's goin' on?"
Mom: "Turn on the TV."
Me: "What channel?"
Mom: "Any channel!"

I turned on the TV just before the second plane hit the North Tower of the WTC complex. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I was 18 years old, I had just started college, and innocence was now certainly lost. I was confused, but more so, I was amazed.

Ever since that morning I have questioned and desired to know what happend. How did this occur and why were we unable to prevent it? I had grown up knowing, not thinking, but knowing that the United States was the most powerful country in the world. I was proud of this fact, but now I felt weak and almost embarrassed.

Two years later, as the winds of war were ramping up, I began to realize the true nature of the events that occured on the infamous date 9/11. It was simply the alarm clock for the new millenium. It started the events that have occured over the last 5 years and just like you set your alarm clock at night before you go to bed, those that had planned the domination of the middle east and the on going War on Terror (war on our rights) set this alarm clock months and years before 9/11.

Today I have found a very interesting article that provides videos of live footage during and after the attacks on national news stations. It is interesting the things that were said right away and how they are different from the constant barage of propaganda that we are led to believe today. Please take the time to watch these videos and read this article

I have always said... "I know what I saw, but I don't know what really happend on 9/11."

I know what the media wants me to believe, I know what the government wants me to believe, but I really don't know what happend.

Mark my words, we have been decieved. A 5 year campaign of conditioning has led the public to buy whatever the media/government colaboration wants to sell them. Honestly, I think that most of American are trying to move on, but that is not what they want. They want to keep the emotion of fear directly in your view. I am not afraid. Not only that, but I am not willing to simply ignore the fact that they want to decieve me.

"All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing" - Edmund Burke

Usually when I express my opinion on the current status of world politics I am confronted with the question "Well, what can I do about it?" You can think about it. That's what you can do. This war, the War on Terror, is a war for your mind. They want to make us so disgusted and tired of trying to figure out the real nature of our world that we will give in and accept some skewed version of events that in the end will benefit only the elite. They want us so confused, so jaded, and so afraid that we actually become apathetic. We simply accept their constructed worldview. WE ARE SELLING OURSELVES INTO SLAVERY.

We will go to war with Iran, just as we did with Iraq.
Before this can happen though, we will need another catalyzing event.
When this happens, I'll know who I'll look to for responsibility.
The disgusting criminal elements that have infilitrated the government of this beautiful and resilient country. I hope my fellow Americans will not be cowed into submission by fear and shock. We built this country to be free and I intend to remain that way.

Some Updates for Blogmates!

Sunday, September 10, 2006 at 4:39 PM
I have made some updates to both this blog and my website, BryanDuckworth.com

First of all, I have added some links that you can find on the sidebar of this blog.

1. PoleVaultWorld.com - This website is maintained by my dad, who is a high school track and cross country coach (as well as a teacher).

2. ThinnerColder.com - This website is the homepage of my friend, Chris Marquard. Showcases his excellent music, as well as film and video projects.

3. I wish my name was Charly - This is the blog of a friend of mine who lives in LA, Stephanie Hall.

Also, I have embedded a new video from YouTube.com on my website. The film Alex the Barbarian was a project that I worked on with a classmate in my final semester in college. It is a black and white film with non-synchronous audio. It is posted below. Tell me what you think.

“Have you no sense of decency, sir?”

Wednesday, September 06, 2006 at 3:20 PM
This isn't the 10 second sound bite that everyone wants to hear and then regurgitate so that they can have an opinion about things they actually don't really care about. This is actual analysis and opinion, which has been well thought out. Please, if you care about thinking at all, take a second to try and understand what Keith Olbermann is saying. Even if you don't agree, it may give you that rare opportunity for some individual thinking, something we should all try to do a little more.

From Here to There - The World is Still The Same

at 3:08 PM
Well, I've been living in Los Angeles for over a week now. I'm finally starting to feel a little settled in and not so overwhelmed by the sense of "newness." Yes, I'm still unemployed and diligently looking for work. However, the world does not take a break just because you do. The global society that weaves in and out of countries, states, and cities does not pause while you are busy with something else.

Recently, since I have been so consumed with moving and exploring a new enviroment, I can see how easy it is for someone to lose sight of events that are not immediately invasive to ones life. It makes even more sense that people who never had those events in their sight to begin with would not have them easily come into view. This is part of the purpose of this blog; to hopefully inform the few people who read it about things they might have otherwise never have known, heard, or seen.

I have made plenty of "outrageous" posts on this blog in the past and this isn't going to be one of them. I just really hope that everyone will take a moment to think outside their box. You have 1440 minutes in a day. You'd be doing yourself a favor by using 5 of them to think about something that won't effect you today, but maybe tomorrow, or the next day, or the day after that. Think about something that is unpredictable, better yet think of something that may even be just opposite, predictable.

Try to understand the world we live in. (This is disgusting.)

I don't think this needs an explanation...
