From Here to There - The World is Still The Same

Well, I've been living in Los Angeles for over a week now. I'm finally starting to feel a little settled in and not so overwhelmed by the sense of "newness." Yes, I'm still unemployed and diligently looking for work. However, the world does not take a break just because you do. The global society that weaves in and out of countries, states, and cities does not pause while you are busy with something else.

Recently, since I have been so consumed with moving and exploring a new enviroment, I can see how easy it is for someone to lose sight of events that are not immediately invasive to ones life. It makes even more sense that people who never had those events in their sight to begin with would not have them easily come into view. This is part of the purpose of this blog; to hopefully inform the few people who read it about things they might have otherwise never have known, heard, or seen.

I have made plenty of "outrageous" posts on this blog in the past and this isn't going to be one of them. I just really hope that everyone will take a moment to think outside their box. You have 1440 minutes in a day. You'd be doing yourself a favor by using 5 of them to think about something that won't effect you today, but maybe tomorrow, or the next day, or the day after that. Think about something that is unpredictable, better yet think of something that may even be just opposite, predictable.

Try to understand the world we live in. (This is disgusting.)
